Re: Add raw device(storage volume) to vairtual machine via command line

I am trying the command line argument :

vim-cmd vmsvc/device.diskaddexisting VMID path_to disk/rdm1.vdmk 0 1

but i am getting an error saying

Reconfigure Failed

can somebody guide me with what am I doing wrong ??
