I'm currently setting up a new SQL 2012 cluster running on windows server 2008 R2 and I configured 4 vCPUs with 2 cores for each VM on the cluster, but I would like to know if there is any best practices in terms of configuring the CPUs.
I have 2 Dell R820 with the following specs
4 phisycal CPUs E-5-4617, 6 cores per CPU and my virtual server running SQL 2012 is seeing all 8 cores with the configuration above. Any suggestions on CPU configuration for this type of enviroment will be very appreciated
