Did you have any luck with the LAG setup?
Nope.
Also which method would you choose for the active/active adaptor configuration in the vSwitch? port ID or IP hash?
IP Hash is really the only Link Aggregation method supported.
I am asking because my Cisco (rebranded Linksys) SG200-26 switch supports two modes of load balancing in the static LAG:
• By MAC Addresses—Based on the destination and source MAC addressesof all packets.• By IP and MAC Addresses—Based on the destination and source IPaddresses for IP packets, and destination and source MAC addresses fornon-IP packets.
That's how the switch decides on how it balances traffic it sends to your host. The vSphere setting is the decision on how traffic from the host to the switch is balanced. They can be different.
