I'm trying to install ESXi 5.1 on an HP server (DL 360p g8). The problem is that I continually get an error like this:
cpuX: System logs are stored on nonpersistent storage
during the boot off the installer CD. I have three logical disks defined (raid card is the HP p410), two 1.5TB and one 200GB (SSD). Regardless of how I configure the logical disks, I can't seem to get the installer to start. Once the error appears, it never proceeds.
I'm using the HP version of the ESXi installer (http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/software/vmware/esxi-image.html), and it appears to find the logical disks, since they appear in the shell (/dev/disks/naa.*).
What am I doing wrong?
