I need this clarified.
I have 40 guest machines currently running on a DL585 G2 3 host cluster that is about to be upgraded to vsphere 5. Because of the HCL with these old boxes we are implementing a tech refresh that will integrate this cluster into our blade enclosure. The new models to manage this environment is going to be BL485 G8 and because of the Core count and RAM entitlement the ratios we can now achieve would allow us to have the 40 machines reduced on to a 2 node cluster. The 40 Machines could run on one host so would this be the n+1 stipulated in the scope of requirements or is n+1 always a minimum of 3 hosts?
