Hi Twinkeloogje,

 

Thanks for the reply and sorry for my so late one to it

 

Referring to your mention, I've re-installed VMware Player followed by updating to the latest kernel 2.6.32-279.22.1.el6.i686 and still existing the issue. After then, syslog showed modinfo segmentation fault somewhat like your environment.

 

I searched internet again and found the following post:

Finally, I solved this issue by the method below although I didn't know whether it was really correct:

 

mv /usr/lib/vmware/modules/binary /usr/lib/vmware/modules/binary.old

 

vmware-modconfig --console --install-all
